The molecule resveratrol is a polyphenol produced by grapes, blueberries and other plants as a natural defense against harsh environmental conditions and pathogens. With dozens of publications and clinical trials, resveratrol is considered one of the most studied molecules used as a health promotion supplement. Both through its antioxidant effect and by stimulating other protective mechanisms, resveratrol supports and strengthens our cellular system. In addition to a protective effect for age-associated diseases, a direct and an indirect antioxidant effect has also been described. Although the molecule has already been thoroughly researched, scientific investigations are still underway for further applications.
