Hoa’s parents were refugees from Vietnam and Laos who resettled in the U.S. Sunny’s family immigrated from South Korea to the U.S. for better opportunities. Our parents showed us the value of hustling and how a hard work ethic can lead to success, especially in the face of adversity. They are the inspiration for WE ARE CHIMMI. WE ARE CHIMMI, short for "We Are Children of Immigrants," celebrates the immigrant hustle. We launched our platform to share our passion for playful accessories with the world and to connect with those across communities. We believe that individually we can make a lasting impact in each other's lives. We are committed to donating a portion of profits from sales to organizations that support immigrants and marginalized communities. We also find inspiration in each other and share stories from our communities, other founders, and the organizations we support.
