Born in Charentes (French countryside) in 1987, she grew up in Paris and moved to London in 2014. She created Soumati Studio in 2017, named after the Algerian tribe she’s descended from. From the female form, women empowerment, love, self-love, connection to nature to the small things and pleasures of everyday life, inspiration is everywhere. She creates art to express things and feelings she has no words for. Simple, bold lines filled with warmth and love, stripped bare to emphasise their power. A power she sees in people. By creating, she tries to connect deeply to her body and heart, with love and compassion - art is therapy.
