The story of Mora Play is a long one and with a lot of main characters. Mora was the name of a family during the 40s that started producing bowling pins, jumping ropes and other toys in a small town in Osona (in Sant Pere de Torelló). Through the years, the small workshop became a company with a wide catalogue thanks to Rafael and Vicenç, who bought Casa Mora in the 80s. For more than 40 years they grew the business and brought the chess into the business from Industrias del Ajedrez, a well-known company in the world of high-quality and box-wood chess pieces. In 2021, Anna bought Casa Mora and created Mora Play as we know today. A new brand but with deep roots and full of history. The current team in Mora Play is young and refreshed. We love knowing that the toys we make light a spark in you, that make you want to jump rope or stand on stilts –the feeling of going back in time for a second, of being a child again–. We are thrilled to know that this will still go on generation after generation, and it’s great to believe that some of our toys will be in one of those memories.
