Byloom and Hyde, founded in 2010 by Alexandra Rtichie, started from a kitchen table and a big dream. France is known for it`s rich artisanal heritage and has a rich provision of beautiful materials to work with.. leather hides from Paris design houses no longer required jumbled together with end of line, unsold shearlings from Italian, French and Spanish tanneries just waiting to be delved into.. That was the beginning of the adventure. Reels of cotton braid, rolls of wool from bankrupt factories, odds and ends from various French manufacturers, just lying waiting to have a moment's worth. It was just shouting out 'make something amazing!!' Weaving what was available to hand, together with beautful and very often unusual pieces of leather; a story started to emerge..
